I am trying to use SHK to stop biting my nails What I have found so far is... CHK & SHK with the intention to convert mass to light (fat -> light) or Make a note of what you want, charge it with reiki, keep the note by your pillow, read the note 3 times before going to bed and send some reiki to it. That way you use both the Law of attraction and the power of Reiki. More tips would be appreciated

Has anyone else noticed that the Choku-rei symbol on the first website site seems incorrect. It's a mirror image of the symbol I've learned. ;-)

James-
In the first link I was taught that symbol when I was attuned to Seichim. The second link power symbol was taught to me when I was attuned to Reiki.
I have never seen the power symbol used in reverse like that used in Reiki, interesting, maybe someone else can shed light on this. It may have been an error on the website.

Hi James,
You can find the explanation in the link itself:
"Traditionally Choku Rei is supposed to be drawn anti clockwise (from left to right). I prefer to draw it clockwise (shown above) as this seems to work better for me and it also seems more logical. There is no right or wrong way, it is your intention that decides the function so just do what feels best for you."
I hope that helps.
With love, Monica

As an addendum to the quote above, there are other accounts of differences in the teachings as passed from master to student, as well. Many of the symbols have variants (and alternate names) to them, and none of them are wrong. The main point is that the symbol is little more than a way to identify the particular energetic vibration you wish to channel. If you had a mind to do so, you could use anything as a reference to it. For the same reason, the symbol can be used interchangeably with the full name, the abbreviation, a certain sound, or anything else you feel is an appropriate representation. Some practitioners do not use the symbols at all, but know the energy intimately enough to directly differentiate and channel the appropriate vibrations.

Choku-rei symbol- I was taught a long time ago you drew a standard seven facing right the spiral started at the bottom of the stroke and went round to the left till it folded in on its self you made a round disk drew this on both sides on the flip side the seven faced left if. You spin the disk it would appear to pulsate .this was considered a secret even now I feel some guilt writing this. I have only seen one Japanese made. By my teacher round 1972 .I have one I made works but not well. However its getting old like me. It was once popular to have your symbols on a wooden disk or square piece of wood sandalwood was the preferred type of wood. You would were it around your neck and would use it prior to competing in martial arts .I still use sandalwood oil to relax .in fact you might try it a piece of silk with some drops of sandalwood oil under your pillow .I have been told by a Japanese tourist who spotted my wooden one you can buy a metal spinner now in Japan .however I would not swap my wooden one . Cheers Sidney.
