Hiya
Any of you parents out there teach your kids the worth of positive affirmations? I can't expect a minor to memorize 12 paragraphs but... I believe easy does it so... any plain and simple suggestions for the kids, to help them a little step along the way?
love Michael

Hi Michael This is what Louise Hay says: “I have learned that children, and animals too, because they are so open, may be largely influenced by the consciousness of the adults around them. Therefore, when working for children or pets, use the affirmations both for them and for also clearing the consciousness of the parent, teacher, relative, etc. who may be surrounding and influencing them.” So how about spending 5 minutes a day with your kids saying a couple of positive affirmations together. love stef

here's some i shared with my son last year when he was 6, i think i'll break them out again, and generate some new ones!
so that he was really interested, i called them "list of secrets", as in secrets of life, not meant to be secret of course!
what i did was go through 1 a week:
let oneself and others be happy
don’t panic (relax)
be friends with the person you see in the mirror
enjoy the journey, have fun
life is like a set of playblocks
be here now, live in the present, not the past, or the future
each of us is free to choose
another one i was reminding him of was to use the word "prefer", or "rather", instead of "hate" or "don't like", try them in a few sentences and you'll see what i mean
have fun

maybe saying... "it's all good" ?
i don't quite know how a young person's mind will grasp that though...

thanks anand
shiro - how about "it's all magical", or mysterious, or wonderful - they'll respond, "good" is just too blasé!
