Thank you very much Mickuk and Ole for the suggestion and the software, my problem already solved! I think the software can added in freeware topics to help others. Really agree with you Stef!

I use a prog called 'power defragmenter'.It is better than the windows defrag prog and it installs easy with no spyware or ads. There is nothing fancy visually at all, it runs in a command prompt window. So no flashy lights or ringing bells to get you excited!.. It is free!!. It has four options... Defrag individual files. Defrag individual folders. Defrag whole disc. Power mode(where i think it defrags the same sector twice before moving on to the next). i found it here... www.majorgeeks.com/Power_Defragmenter_GUI_d4647.htmlMany blessings! Paul ;D

Hi All,
We have lot's of defrag progs on the www and yes the windows version is a big let down so be bold and follow the links in the posts above.
I use a defrag prog at least once a week ;D as I add and remove a lot of files in my work as an IT engineer (sad I know)
Be well, George

has anyone tried Powerdefragmenter GUI? www.majorgeeks.com/Power_Defragmenter_GUI_d4647.html It uses a freeware program from sysinternals to defrag.. nifty toy
Ooops ;D Hehe I totally missed that it was posted in this thread before. But I can explain the beauty of it, it goes through the whole drive and makes sure that all files are in one piece, then it starts the normal windows defrag, it gives a better result than just running the normal defrag. Anyway, here's another good one, it defragments the registry and the pagefile, that's the parts that the normal defrag never gets to touch. If your registry or your pagefile is fragmented it can really slow down your machine. www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/FileAndDisk/PageDefrag.mspx

I use a program called Defraggler and I defrag at least once every day. That way, it takes nano-seconds. ;D
