it seems to have taken about 72 years to build it and its surrounding structures. Completed at the end of the 12th century. Such a sad ending for it. And no written history available. But very beautiful, non the less. Do you visit often? Would that be near you? Hi Diana I've been there a few times..........it's only about 5 miles away from where we live ;D love stef

I suppose the places we go for hikes would be as outlandish to you as your places are to me....I have so enjoyed traveling outside and inside my country, I can't help but drool over what you get to put your eyes on every day. My mind searches for the feel of the air on my skin and the smell and the sound under foot....I love this photo section!
Love, Diana

They are only in bloom for a few weeks and they do not produce fruit. I park close to the tree so my car looks like it has confetti all over it ;D ;D ;D ;D

I am not sure about that. The trees are common here, I have a couple across the street from me that haven't bloomed yet, when they do I will report back to you ;D ;D ;D

We have trees like that too. They produce little red cherries in England and the birds wait until to cherries drop to eat them.
