Something about CHO KU REI!!! "In the beginning, Great God took His body, His light, and divided it into various rays of light. He then functioned 7 rays of light to operate as the power source of human beings. These 7 rays of origin, which I call Chokurei (direct spirits from God*), are the image of God working in this world of mankind... *NOTE: Chokurei, as used by Masahisa, translates literally as 'direct spirit(s)' - the 'from god' part is simply implied.

the reiki symbols to me are very sacred and shouldnt really be talked about with others who do not have any knowledge yet of reiki, as they can be very dangerous in the wrong hands, they are very powerful symbols and need to be in the hands of the practitioner who knows the meanings of these powerful symbols.

I wonder why you would think that, angelite? I do, however, respect your opinions and beliefs, as I do everybody. Love, Danny

If you do an extensive enough search on the web, you'll find ALL of the Usui symbols, their meanings AND how to perform attunements, so I wouldn't worry, Domen..... In fact, you'll find all that info on this very web site/forum. I fail to see how they could be highly dangerous if they got into the 'wrong' hands though. Just my thoughts, Danny

Hi angelite There are Reiki symbols on public display in many Tibetan monasteries. Mikao Usui introduced the symbols into his teaching as an aid for students who were new to healing and spiritual practices to help them focus on their intent...........he never said that they were secret, sacred or dangerous in the wrong hands............Reiki is for the good of all, so cannot be dangerous. This is what I have learned by studying for the last few years. love stef

Thanks for that info, Stef. I was going to add in my post, but restrained myself, that when thousands of dollars were being charged for level three attunements, it was very much 'cloak and dagger' and the strong suggestion that this is only open to the 'elite' and those who could afford it. There are certain 'new' modalities out there (I could name) that are continuing with this trend. I'm not trying to criticise you, angelite, in fact, far from it. I appreciate your input and for getting me to think on a deeper level. Withy love, Danny

Just gonna throw my two cents in too.
Please remember that your symbols are merely a guidance tool for you.
You can think the symbols after you know whats going on and how to generate the energy, you can if you want not use them at all, which is where I am at.
The reason being is you can get the energy flowing by just thought of the word reiki, the symbols where there to guide the students and help them move the energy in distance, healing etc. Energy follows your thoughts.
Everything has energy, we are channelers of the light and just by thought, and not drawing your symbols or even think your symbols you can generate the energy flow.
Hope this helps
love ruth
