River of Life Meditation
Find a comfortable place where you can relax and be completely quiet...relax...allow your thought snow to just come and go...come and go...and take a deep breath in and hold it...(pause)...now gather up the tension in your body, and release it as you exhale...take another deep breath, and as you exhale, let go of anybody else's energy or thoughts you may be carrying...and breathe in new energy...breathe in new possibilities...and allow your body to fill with lightness...feel it becoming lighter and lighter as you relax more and more...relaxing deeply...going deeper...feeling very light now...so light you could almost float away...
And as you relax, imagine a beautiful colored mist is swirling up around you, billowing up around you into a cushiony, soft, cloud of energy...and you are resting completely upon this cloud...and you are safe...as you breathe in and out, let your thoughts just come and go...relaxing more and more...and the cloud of energy now lifts you up into the air and carries your down into your own inner world...down between the boundaries of time and space...to a place of timeless beauty and infinite possibilities...floating down now, going deeper and deeper, leaving the outer world and its concerns far behind, as you drift and float on this beautiful cloud...going further and further...down below you is a rock, a giant rock...and the cloud gently and effortlessly lands upon the rock and you step off it, as the cloud swirls back into a mist and disappears for now...
Stand upon this rock now, and feel the strength of it under your feet...and as you turn around, you look out upon a great river...flowing as far as you can see...seeming to come from some infinite place...and disappearing into an infinite place, a flowing, endless river of energy...this is the river of all life waters...all of life draws upon the life-force that moves through its steaming currents...look closely at the water...what color is it? it may look like liquid light to you...look deeply into it, and sense the power and depth of the river...what sound does it make as it courses through its channels?...as you stand securely upon your rock, notice and fragrance...and bend down and cup your hands in the living water, and splash some of it on your face...feel the life giving force on your skin...take a sip of the water...allow the river of life to nourish you...
Now relax a moment upon the rock...and bring into your mind the magical intention that never seemed to go anywhere...what were you trying to accomplish?...what was the basic intention you had?...what was the emotion behind the intention?...feel the energy of that emotion moving onto the palms of your hands now...feel the energy glowing...pulsating...breathe and allow your intention that you're still clinging to externalize...the energy of it is now shimmering, glowing...swirling into a sphere...allow all of your desire to flow into this sphere...and allow this sphere to appear to you however it appears...and just observe what you see...you may see pictures or symbols emerging within the sphere...whatever you see is fine...
When your sphere is completely filled with the last of your desire, emotion, and intention, hold it aloft...feel the power of it in you hands, a globe of power that you can now release...and look out into the river of life...watch as its currents of possibility flow for ever and ever, as far as you can see...and whenever you're ready, with as much and as little force as you need, throw the pulsating sphere into the river...and give this intention to the life force of this great river...watch as the sphere touches the water...and gradually disappears into the current...
Take a deep breath...as the sphere disappears the last of your intention and emotion and desire merges with the source of all life, from which it originally came...and leaves you... Now complete any business here that you need to finish...take a few moments to enjoy the flowing river of life, and know that the possibilities it nourishes can bring miracles into you life too...
Take another deep breath, and notice the colored mist is once again swirling around you...billowing up underneath you to form a beautiful cloud of cushiony energy, which is lifted up into the air, with you upon it...relaxing into the cloud you are returning the way you came...lifting up through time and space, coming back from the inner world...coming up...further and further...floating and drifting back...coming back...bringing you all the way back into your body now, into this room...brining your attention completely back into this time and place...take a deep breath and begin to re-orient yourself to the outer world...and when you're ready, count to three..., and on the count of three open your eyes, and return feeling relaxed, alert and at peace As always, change any of the wording or images in this meditation if it suits your purpose better. The important part is just to finally and completely let go of your intention, so that the energy can be recycled in whatever form the creative force and your own consciousness will allow. Out of this release, new lives, new opportunities, and new magical opportunities are born!

Letting Go Meditation
If you feel as though you're carrying baggage around on your shoulders, your half way to letting go. In order to resolve issues or problems in your life, you must go through the process of acknowledgement, acceptance, forgiveness and finally letting go. Acknowledging and acceptance is often the easy steps to getting rid of unwanted emotional baggage.
The forgiveness and letting go are the hard parts. But through inner reflection, counseling and meditation, you can learn to forgive and let go. Sometimes forgiving and letting go on a spiritual level can help you release the pain and emotional hurt you feel on a physical level as well.
Whether you're letting go of past bad habits, an old hurt, a bad relationship or something more serious, meditation is a good way to start. This meditation is designed to raise your consciousness and connect with the inner cause or the person you feel hurt by on a spiritual level.
Since this is a special meditation, you may want to prepare your meditation space in a special way. Add a few ritualistic items, such as lighting a white candle and saying a prayer stating your intent for this meditative session. Some people like to decorate their meditative space with religious symbols to add to the spiritual significance of this meditation.
Once you are all set and prepared, this is what you do. Take your time, try to imagine as much detail as possible. Sit in a comfortable position, one that you can sustain for about 30-45 minutes.
Close your eyes and take in a deep cleansing breath. Fill your lungs to their fullest capacity. Then release the breath through your mouth and push all the air out of your body. Take in 3 deep breaths through the nose, imagine the white light from the universe coming into your lungs and collecting at your solar plexus.
With all 3 exhales, image all the stress, anxiety and negativity you have leaving your body carried out to the universe on a gay smoke where it can be dissipated and no longer do harm to anyone. As you exhale, imagine the events of the day or week floating out of your body. Put these worries aside and begin to relax your entire body and mind. Feel the tension in your muscles begin to subside.
Begin at your solar plexus and imagine the white light moving up and down your body from this point. Imagine the warmth of the energy as it passes through your muscles and organs. Feel the tingling sensations as the light moves down to your toes and up your body to the top of your head. Imagine your entire body engulfed by this white divine light, from the inside out.
Say a prayer once more asking your guides and teachers to come to you and to help with the purpose of this mediation. Ask them to lend their energy to your spiritual protection and to provide support for your purpose. State your intention clearly and ask a God to help you with your meditative journey. Don't forget to thank them up front for their efforts. This step takes a little practice, don't worry if you can't do this for any extended period of time, but at least give it a try.
Keep your eyes closed, but look up at the pineal gland. This is a small gland located in the middle of your forehead, just above the brow. (this is also considered to be the position of your third eye and is therefore the gateway to higher conscious realms). Try to keep your eyes focused on this point. The muscles around your eyes may become sore as you stretch them upward, so don't over do this at first. As you practice, this step will become easier and easier to do.As you focus on your third eye imagine your at the base of a tunnel, dimly light and slanted upward. Imagine your astral body (or your soul) standing up from your physical body and begin to walk toward and into the tunnel. See the lights on the walls and the texture of the floor as you walk through the tunnel. Imagine yourself moving upward.
Just a head of you, you see a set of glass doors and through those doors you can see a brilliant white light. You feel in your heart that this is the light of the universal consciousness, of God. A feeling of Peace, calm, protection and knowledge fills your insides. With each step closer, you feel more relaxed and at peace..you feel uplifted and connected to this universal energy. As you approach the doors, they automatically open and invite your soul into this realm of enlightenment. This is your spiritual sanctuary. The one place where you are always safe and protected from all things.
In the center of the room is a place for you to sit down and enjoy the calm and security. As you position your self in the seating area, imagine yourself closing your eyes and mentally connecting with the person or the inner issue that is causing you harm. If it's an issue, try to imagine it in a form that you can talk with. It can be a ghostly presence, a ball of energy, what ever form you feel it should take. If it's a person, mentally connect with what you see as their spiritual essence. Ask their permission to join you in your sanctuary. It's important ask permission. And equally important to listen for their response. If you feel the answer is no, tell them you are letting them go and then return to your sanctuary. If the answer is yes, imagine this persons spiritual self joining you in your sanctuary. Remember you are perfectly safe here. Nothing will happen to you, you will never be in any danger.
Once you are spiritually facing the person or issue, explain why you have asked them here. Explain your feelings and emotions. But in a way that does not place blame on the person or yourself. Explain to them that you've acknowledge and accepted the issue at hand.
Then tell them you are forgiving them and why. Explain why this issue is being resolved within yourself and why you feel the need to forgive.
Next, explain why you feel this "baggage" is no longer yours to own and it belongs to them. Tell them, you are giving the hurt and pain back and moving on. Explain that they need to deal with the issues within them self if you feel that is appropriate. But that you will no longer accept the pain or hurt that has been on your shoulders and in your heart.
Lastly, state firmly and without doubt, "I forgive you. I let you go. I am moving on with my life."
There's no need to wait for an acceptance or ok. Once you have made your statement, you're done. This is YOUR time and YOUR sanctuary where you make the rules and laws.
Once you have made your statement, you can conclude your visit. Thank them for coming and tell them it's time for them to go forever. Watch the person or energy rise and walk out your sanctuary doors..never to return again.
Take a moment to thank yourself and spiritually celebrate your accomplishment. Wither it's tears of joy, or great party, you've done something so significant to your life that you deserve a pat on the back and hug. So imagine your divine presence, a spirit guide or whatever spiritual help you called into your sanctuary holding you and providing congratulations. Now, it's time to relax. Take a deep breath and prepare to return to the waking world.
Make sure you thank your divine presence and guides deeply for their gift of service and protection to you. Thank them for coming here during this meditation to meet you and/or visit with you. Give them a goodbye hug, then rise from your seat and head out your sanctuary doors.
As the doors close behind, see yourself standing at the top of the spiritual tunnel. As you move through the tunnel you become more and more aware of your surroundings and your body.
Imagine yourself passing through the glass doors and heading back down to your meditative space. Imagine your soul walking through the door to your room, and seeing your physical body right where you left it. As your soul steps back inside your spiritual body, all the visions sensations and answers you received merge with your physical brain and are automatically stored into your conscious mind.
Take in a deep breath, begin to feel your body, become more and more aware of your surroundings, have a nice long and hard stretch, then open your eyes
The last thing you should do before you get up from your meditative spot is to record this event either on tape or in a journal. It's important to do it right away while the images, feelings and sounds are still clear in your mind.
Then go out and enjoy the rest of your life!

A Healing Garden Meditation
by Peggy Kemp, based on the Garden Waena Meditation by Serge Kahili King
Get comfortable and close your eyes.
Breathe in with your focus on the crown of your head Breathe out with your focus on your navel
Breathe in with your focus on the crown of your head Breathe out with your focus on your navel
Breathe in with your focus a foot above your head Breathe out with your focus a foot below your feet
Breathe in with your focus on the heavens Breathe out with your focus deep within the earth
Imagine that you are walking down a path toward a special place, a place which might be a garden that looks however you want it to look, a place of safety and security which you can visit any time you like.
As you walk down the path, try to feel your feet on the land. Look around, see something as clearly as you can. Smell something, a flower, the freshness of the air, or the sea. Hear something if you can...
As you're walking along, you come to a gate, an arch, or another sort of entry into your own personal space, the garden where you can always come for serenity and healing.
Go through the entry, and look around you. Find something to praise and appreciate about your garden, and give it a blessing for being such a beautiful space.
Now look again, and see if there isn't something you'd like to improve about your garden. It may be weedy, or you may want to plant something, or build something. You can ask helpers to do the heavy work, and accomplish a wonderful change in an instant. Take a little time to change something in your garden.
Now find a source of water in your garden. It may be a stream, a waterfall, or a sweet deep pool. Make your way to that water, and sit by it for a moment, breathing in its freshness and vitality throughout every cell of your body. Put a part of your body - or the whole thing - into the water and feel the smooth refreshment as it caresses your body. Sit for a moment and enjoy the water. Climb out of the water and shake yourself off a little. Thank the water for its beauty and life-giving freshness.
Sitting by the water again, ask for a symbol of the situation you would like healing for. If it had a physical manifestation, what would that look like? How big, what shape? Take a good look at it. Think about it. Now make a strong change in the symbol - change its size, shape, color, consistency, make it disappear - until you feel a positive change has been made.
Ask for one of your helper spirits to come to you now. That spirit might look like an animal, a person, an angel, a flower - it can look like anything it wants to and it is a spirit that loves you and has the power that can help you heal. Look at it and bless it and thank it for coming to help you. Ask your spirit for healing advice, if you like, and then ask it to give you a gift with healing power.
Thank your spirit for coming to help you and for giving you a gift of healing power, Knowing that you can come back here and be with the spirit any time you want to, bid it good-bye for now.
Take the gift to your healing altar. If you don't have one, make a simple one now. Place the gift against your heart and absorb the healing energy it has to share. Thank it and put the gift of healing power on the healing altar, knowing you have the essence in your heart and that you can come back here and be with it again any time you want to. In the meantime, it will radiate out healing energy for you.
Now make your way back to the entryway to your garden, appreciating it once more as you leave it for now. Go through the gate, back onto the path and slowly down it. As you walk down the path, begin to be more aware of your body, begin to come back into your body sitting there in your chair.
Breathe in with your focus on the heavens Breathe out with your focus deep within the earth
Breathe in with your focus a foot above your head Breathe out with your focus a foot below your feet
Breathe in with your focus on the crown of your head Breathe out with your focus on your navel
Breathe in with your focus on the crown of your head Breathe out with your focus on your navel
Now that you are completely aware of and centered back in your body, thank your body for all the ways in which it supports and helps you every day. Send a blessing of love and gratitude throughout your entire body, open your eyes and wiggle your fingers and toes. Move your body. Focus on something near you in the room. Look at something further away. Be totally back in your present moment, knowing you can visit your garden any time you need healing energy.
And so it is.

THE RAINBOW MEDITATION
Let's begin by getting comfortable in our chairs, and gently closing our eyes.
Take a deep breath and as you exhale, Feel how good it is to begin to relax.
Take another deep breath, and as you exhale, feel yourself getting heavier in your chair.
And now a third deep breath, and as you exhale, Feel a warm wave of relaxation begin to roll down, From the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
Now, as you continue to breathe naturally, You become aware of the deep feeling of relaxation That begins to permeate your entire body. You are letting go, You are feeling at ease, You are becoming more and more relaxed with each breath.
You may feel that your body is becoming very heavy, So heavy that you are slowly sinking into your chair. In just a few moments though, that feeling is replaced By the feeling you are now so light That your body begins to float up, Slowly, effortlessly, higher and higher.
See yourself move up through the clouds, And watch the Earth become smaller and smaller. You find yourself far out in the cosmos, Suspended, continuing to float in space.
You are aware of no physical sensations, Except a feeling of freedom, of weightlessness. You feel no fear. You feel absolute trust and protection, For you have the inner knowing that you are filled And surrounded by the Universal Light and Love.
You hear yourself saying:
THE LIGHT OF GOD SURROUNDS ME
THE POWER OF GOD PROTECTS ME
THE PEACE OF GOD ENFOLDS ME
THE LOVE OF GOD EMPOWERS ME
THE PRESENCE OF GOD IS WITH ME ALWAYS.
WHERE I AM, GOD IS.
AND ALL IS WELL.
Imagine, see with your mind's eye, Feel with your inner knowingness that you are far out in space Far from Earth. You look back at earth, and it appears As a small ball of shining blue-green light About the size of your fist. Now see the Earth as surrounded in a rose - pink Light. This is a light of Protection, of Love, and Peace. In essence a prayer for the planet without words A prayer that uses Light.
And now you feel yourself being drawn back to the Earth. You accept the "pull" to return and you enjoy the "ride" Of returning to the Earth's atmosphere.
As you begin your slow descent through the first few layers of the atmosphere, And into the warm sunlight, You find yourself in a brilliant, soft blue sky Dotted with large puffs of clouds.
Slowly, your attention is captivated by the biggest And most beautiful rainbow you have ever seen. You head toward the rainbow and its magnificent brilliant colours.
You find yourself gliding into the midst of the rainbow, Totally immersed and surrounded by the first colour - red You breathe in the colour red and Take in all the positive aspects of the color red. Feel, see, or imagine yourself Filled and surrounded by the colour red. Be the colour red.
Now feel yourself floating out of the colour red And into the next colour of the rainbow, the colour orange. Again feel, see, or imagine yourself pausing here in the colour orange. All you can see is orange, breathe in the colour orange. Be the colour orange, The most beautiful shade of orange you can imagine.
Next, you find yourself moving into the next color, Which is the colour yellow, your favourite shade of yellow. Here, totally surrounded by yellow You take a deep breath of pure yellow light. Feel, see, or imagine yourself As being filled and surrounded by yellow light.
In a moment, you are gliding on to the next colour - green. You are now in the middle of the rainbow, Take a deep breath And fill yourself with the wonderful healing energies of green The colour of growth, creativity and healing.
After you have basked in the green light And bathed in its essence, Feel yourself gently floating into the next colour, : A delicate shade of pastel blue. Move until you are totally immersed in the blue light. Breathe it in, and see it completely surrounding your body.
Continue moving now, gliding over into the next colour Which is indigo, a dark purplish-blue, the colour of the midnight sky. Feel, see, or imagine only this colour, This light filling and surrounding your body.
Now mover over in to the next colour which is violet. Linger in this colour a short time, Breathing it in, filling and surrounding your body With the radiant violet light.
Then move over into the last colour A blend of all the colours - white. A most beautiful, radiant, lustrous White Light. Here you stay for a moment Rested, rejuvenated, and invigorated. Bathing and basking in the wondrous healing White Light.
It is time now to leave, You remember the healing you have just had with the Light, And with all the colours of the rainbow. With gratitude, and a feeling of total renewal, You prepare to return to the here and now.
In a few moments I am going to slowly count from one to five. At the count of three, you will open your eyes. At the count of five you will be wide awake. Feeling fine, in perfect health, much better than before.
One, two three, Eyes open now.
Four, five, Wide awake ... feeling fine ... in perfect health ...completely refreshed,
In fact, you feel terrific!

Sensuous Elements Guided Meditation
Close your eyes and relax. Begin breathing slowly and deeply, letting your rib cage fill completely. With each breath in, feel it becoming full with life. As you breathe in, pull in pure, white, clean energy. Let it spread slowly out from your lungs, emanating throughout your entire body. As you breathe out, breathe out all the tension and scattered energies of your day. With each breath in, breathe in relaxation. With each breath out, breathe out stress. Breathe in trust. Breathe out fear. Breathe in love. With each breath, fill yourself with the divine energy that connects us all.
Let your consciousness turn to the East. See yourself atop a mountain watching the bright yellow of the new sunrise in the distance. It is a crisp spring morning and the cool; dampness in the air surrounds you. It caresses you softly...flowing through your hair, brushing against your skin. Feel the energy surrounding you as your clothes softly gather and swirl around you. It holds the newness of the dawn and all the infinite possibilities of the day head. As you watch, the day extends to become weeks.... months....years...millennia...a vast expanse of pure potential.
This is the land of East; the land of air; the land of thought and reason. The home of new beginnings, it is also where your imagination lies. Here you breathe life into your dreams and start them on their way to reality. Here you find the truth and knowledge that you need to make them happen. Here you find the hope and happiness that you feel when they blossom in their fullness.
Feel the wind blowing as its potential swirls around you. Gather it in, bringing it into your body.
East, Air, I welcome you. Blessed Be!
Now you turn your thoughts to the South and the land of Fire. The vision in your mind's eye slowly shifts and changes. You find yourself in Hawaii, surrounded by lush, beautiful flowers and plants. It is summer and the sun is hot above you in the noonday sky. Far off in the distance, you see hot molten red of lava pouring down the side of a volcano. Even at this safe distance, you can feel the heat of its glow on your skin. You stand transfixed, watching as it flows ever forward, re-shaping reality with its power. Without thought or preconceptions, it brings about change as it simply follows its own nature. Yes, it brings destruction, but without hate or malice. And in time, the opening that it creates will be filled by extraordinary beauty.
This is the land of South; the land of fire; the land of passion and energy. Here, we find transmutation as the old is burned away to make room for the new to grow. Here lies the intense pain of death and intense pleasure of rebirth. Here's lies the fires of our loins and the "little death" of orgasm. Fire consumes us. Fire transforms us. Fire drives us to grow...to create...to explode with ecstasy.
The heat of fire radiates throughout your body as you feel the warmth of it upon your skin and within your loins. Welcome it, knowing that it will take away the old fears and pains. Let it open you up to the sacred beauty of your own reborn passions.
South, Fire, I welcome you. Blessed Be!
As the day winds onward toward dusk, you turn to the West. You find yourself walking down to a beach. The cool air swirls around you as it fills with the crispness of autumn. At the water's edge, you welcome the cooling relief as you walk in the surf. The waves refresh and soothe you. So tranquil. The salt air buffets your clothes around you, stirring up memories of all that has gone before. The ocean stretches before you; the mother of all creation. As the sun sets, you gaze out over her clear blue expanse. She is the womb of the earth, from which all of us were born. She nurtures you. She nourishes you and all the children of her creation. Her vast calmness holds you, astounding you with her seemingly endless beauty. This is the same water that sailors have traveled for centuries; ever enduring. How many billion times have the drops of water she holds been evaporated to fall as rain or snow before slowly winding their way from creek to river to finally join together again in her comforting arms?
This is the land of the West; the realm of Water. Here lies emotions and the release from them. Here lies tranquility and peace. Here the Water softly soothes away even those things that Fire can not burn. It takes its own time and moves on it's own schedule, as it slowly wears away layer after layer. Here disasters become peddles and problems become sand.
Let the water wash over you, soothing you, holding you in the embrace of the Great Mother. Invite her tranquillity to join you, bringing her cleansing and peace.
West, Water, I welcome you. Blessed Be!
As the sun sets and the Earth moves on toward winter, you seek sanctuary in the mountains, where you find yourself surrounded by a forest. You settle down near the base of a huge, gnarled oak. Leaning backwards against the trunk, the tree cradles you in a nook between its large roots... a custom fit that feels like "home". Stretching out above you, the branches of the tree offer you shelter and protection. Roots reach beneath you, offering sustenance and strength. Under you and all around you, the Mother Earth is alive with life. Even in the quiet darkness that falls as you near midnight, you feel comforted by her support. You know the Earth lives onward as birth, death and rebirth continue, carrying out cycle after cycle. Reach down and feel the sweetness of her stability; of knowing that she is always there. She has been here since before this ancient tree was but a tiny acorn, and she will be here long after these branches have one day rotted away. She holds true and steady to her course as all else moves and changes around her. Here you may rest a while in her safety and where will be the renewed energy you need when you are ready to move on.
This is the land of the North; the home of Earth. Here lies strength and stability. Here the World is firm under you, creating a foundation upon which you may build and work. Here you find the endurance and the responsibility required to sustain creation. Here your dreams become cathedrals and your visions blossom into verdant gardens.
Feel the earth firm under your feet. Invite her strength to flow up through you as she joins you. May she bring security and stability to your work and to your life.
North, Earth, I welcome you. Blessed Be!

GUIDED MEDITATION ON LOVING KINDNESS
Consider this quietly, on your own; or get a friend to read it out slowly to you.
STOP FOR A FEW MOMENTS. Sit quietly, with a straight back, and gently close your eyes. Feeling the Rhythm of the breath as it enters and leaves the body, allow yourself to let go of past and future, and come to the present moment; being with exactly what is - now.
Bring your attention to the feeling of the body, accepting it just the way it is - with kindness. Allow yourself to accept all the sensations and feelings of the body completely.
Breathe in deeply, with a sense of trust and well being: breathe out, letting go of tension, allowing any tightness to dissolve.
Then, focus on the normal breathing; just the feeling of breathing in, breathing out.
Imagine yourself surrounded by light - perhaps a golden coloured light if you like gold. Being with the sensation of the body breathing in, breathing out, draw the light intro the body as you breathe - maybe through the nostrils, the heart or the head. Imagine light saturating the body, through eveey pore.
Think to yourself: 'May this being be well,' and turn the calming effect of the meditation towards this being: 'May this being be calm,' Suffuse your whole body with this calm and kindly attention.
Then, let your awareness explore the body: moving around the head and face, gradually down the neck, the back and the chest, spreading right down the fingertips; then down the legs, to each toe; drawing on the good energy of the breath, expanding and embracing the heart.
Focusing more on the out-breath, let go of the memories, the grudges, the grievances; let it all go. Begin again with each breath.
Picture yourself in your mind's eye as you are now. Make peace with this new view of yourself, through forgiveness, compassion, gentleness. 'May this being be well.' Suffuse this picture with gentle, warm light from the heart, then let it go.
Next, picture your parents, let them into your mind. Make peace with their image: 'May you be well,' bathing them with soft light, with gratitude.
Observe thoughts arising. Memories of yourself as a child, perhaps something painful or something you have never made peace with. Let it be in the mind, in the light.
Then bring up an image of your daily situation, at home or wherever, with the people it involves. People you like or dislike, feel conflict with, love, fear, worry, guilt; at this moment, allow yourself to be kind.
Think of someone you know who is having a difficult time; send these feelings of kindness towards them. Breathe in light, breathe out wishing them well.
Gradually open up more and more, from the people you see every day to nobody special; and even those for whom you have hardly a memory. Recognise them as human beings with ambitions, hopes, problems, anxiety, joy - just like you! Give them some life in your perceptions.
And, even more remote, acknowledge all the people you can conceive in this world. This may be a faint feeling, but open up the heart to allow them into consciousness, to be felt. See what the mind does, how it acts indignantly about some people - such as political figures. Let go of that indignation for this moment. Allow a sense of peace to envelop all beings: the liked, the disliked, familiar and unfamiliar.
And then imagine the planet Earth as seen from space. Extend this sense of peace to the planet we live on, embracing it with all your heart, surrounding it with light.
Turning your attention to that sense of peace and light, allow it to expand outwards, without limit, letting the sense of 'me' and 'the world' dissolve into the stillness of the present.
Then turn your attention back in towards itself; upon the feeling of knowing 'the screen of the mind', the place where images arise. Let it be quite empty or full, choiceless, being illuminated by the soft light from the heart, light from the breath; warm, gentle; beginning, letting go, patient kindness.
Gently come back to the rhythm of the breath, and when you are ready, slowly open your eyes.

A Guided Meditation for a Time of Transition
Great advances can bring about great change in our lives. Sometimes this change can be unsettling, and frightening. Below is a guided meditation to help you understand your feelings during this time of transition, and move beyond them. The asterisks mark suggested pauses in the narrative.
Transition Meditation Picture your old life as having been a small, confining room which has held you tight within it. It was safe and comfortable, but limiting.* Now, as your soul expands to include all the positive energies which can help you grow spiritually, the walls of your old life begin to crack, and give way. You can hear the walls rumbling and cracking, and you realize that these sounds indicate change.* At first, you are fearful. This small room has been all you have known for so long. You learned to function within it, and do the things you had to do to get by. But now, it is not enough. Large cracks are beginning to appear in the room, and the walls are beginning to tremble. Feel the fear you are experiencing. Take a deep breath, and then release your fear with your breath.*
You breathe in, and once again expand your soul. You can feel your aura around you pressing against the sides of the old, constricting walls of your life.* Now the cracks in your life are growing larger, a bright white light shines from beyond them, but you are still in your room. The light is frightening at first, because it is unknown. You hold tight within a corner of your life, and wait. Take a deep breath, and release slowly.*
Now, things are beginning to happen outside. The walls of your life-room are beginning to shake. You feel out of control. Fear and despair grip your insides, and cause you anxiety. Large chunks of wall begin falling around you. Your life room is falling apart. Breath in all the fear and despair, and release it slowly with your breath.*
You sit cowering in your corner. You look up again at all that is happening around you. Again you notice the brilliant white light which is now streaming through the holes in the ceiling and walls of your life. A ray of light falls on your skin. You feel a warmth.* Suddenly, the room begins to collapse. Large chunks of plaster fall around you making thudding sounds. Dust fills the air, making it harder to breath.* You run from the life room which is now falling completely apart around you. You don't know what you will find, or how you will deal with it, but you run out into the light.*
Everything is different here. There is light and space and fresh air. Breath in the fresh air, and exhale.* Things are different here. Unknown. You are apprehensive, but you have no choice but to look around you and explore your options. You stand waiting for this new life to destroy you. You don't know how to cope here. You stand and wait. Surely it will happen soon. Breath in the fresh air again. Hold and release slowly.*
After a long while, you begin to realize that there is no immediate threat, but nevertheless, something tells you you will not survive within these new, unfamiliar surroundings. You don't know what to do. Out of the lack of any other knowledge, you do the things you have always done. Surprisingly, some of these old things work within your new space, too. Some, but not all.*
You look at the situation. It has not immediately killed you, and you tried a few things in your new environment. You decide to keep doing the things that worked, and try new things instead of the old things that didn't work. You begin to see a structure around you. It works a little differently, but essentially, it provides the same needs. You go from day to day, learning what works and what doesn't work, and modifying your actions to fit your needs. It is a time of transition.*
One day, you decide that you would like a new life room, and you have learned what to do in your new situation to get one. You begin doing those things. Soon, you sense the comforting presence of walls, and a new ceiling forming around you.* You have built this new place. You have accomplished this. You have designed your new life room. But you notice one big difference in this room that the last one did not have. You yourself have chosen to add doors, and windows.*
You come and go, always returning to your new life space. It is open and airy and new. You are surprised to eventually find that you are comfortable there, and you feel a certain pride in the fact that you designed and built your life yourself. And all that has passed is time, and a lack of experience. You begin to feel that you can handle anything that life presents you with. Hug yourself, take a deep breath, and release it slowly.*
Take a moment and come back into yourself.*

Re-Awareness Meditation
This meditative process re-awakens you to the link between your outer-finite-reality and inner-infinite-realms. The purpose of this meditative process is to enliven your general conscious awareness to the ISD that is unique of the Self, for the Self . . for their light-energy alchemy is symbiotic.
We begin with this calming and relaxing platform……. Allow your senses to embrace the sound of the breath. Wooshhhhhhhh… Allow yourself to ‘become’ the gentle rise and fall of your chest and abdomen. There is nothing else to do… nothing pressing or needing immediate attention… so … its OK to relax… to let go… to feel the muscles in your body loosen their grip one by one… letting go. Pause here and allow yourself to feel a wave of serene tranquillity wash through your entire BEing… relax, feel yourself floating within a sea of calmness. Remain here as long as you wish… there is noooooo hurry…
Allow your heightened awareness to feel the gentle rhythmic rise of your chest on the inward breath… and the fall of your chest as the air escapes your body on the outward breath. Thinking of nothing else… allow your self to begin to drift… each inward and outward breath taking you deeper and deeper into this blissful state of absolute peace… drifting along… only hearing the breath… only aware of the breath… you are the breath… it is the totality of your awareness right now… flowing in… flowing out… flowing in… flowing out… very peaceful … very easy… that is all there is to it… flowing in and flowing out… quietly drifting… in and out… floating peacefully… in and out… BE in this space as long as you wish…
Completely relaxed now, your journey continues… embracing ALL Inner Lights as ONE you journey inward… going deeper and deeper into your Heart Sanctuary. Your senses fill with anticipation the closer you near your centre. Presently you arrive at the threshold of your inner-most ‘sanctum’, whose beauty is beyond words. Watch in awe as your inner-sanctum takes form before you… beginning as a glowing sphere of light, whose energy beckons you forward, to come… enter… the pulsing energies of your sacred sanctuary. Within this heightened state of inner-awareness, your sensitive perceptions feel this Sphere of infinite Soul-Light, as colour and sound filling your BEing with the most exquisite loving liquid light-energy… all the mysteries of the known and unknown of who you are.
Pause a while and bathe in this light-resonance… simply BE... allow the sacred existence of your Heart Sanctuary access-point to be remembered within your awareness. Within this space nothing more requires your attention… just relax and feel… sense the fullness of this light-energy become acknowledged and recognised by your consciousness… all IS as it will be. Remain as long as you wish.
When you feel the time is right, become aware of your surroundings and allow all the physical senses of your body to feel their normal sensations. You will become mindful of noise around you and your eyes will begin to open… slowly at first… then with more deliberate movement, until you are fully refreshed and wide-awake. Please take a moment to bring your awareness to the gentle rhythmic flow of your breath making sure that you are feeling centred and grounded and fully conscious in the now moment of your wakefulness, before continuing on with your day. Have a large glass of fresh water.

MEDITATING with Animals
1) Get into a comfortable position where you can see the animal you want to meditate with. Make sure the animal you've chosen is in a relaxed state of being. You can choose a cat, dog, horse, cow… any animal that seems to have the spiritual you're looking for.
2) Observe the animal closely. Notice the color of their coat or skin, the way the light catches different parts of their body. Notice anything that comes to you about the animal's appearance. Keep this level of observation for a minute or two.
3) Next, begin to copy the animal's breathing. Match the animal breath for breath. Now extend that matching to include the animal's _expression and focus of attention. Are the eyes open or closed? Where is the animal's attention? What is he or she looking at? Is the animal's attention inwardly or outwardly focused? Stay focused on this aspect of the meditation for a few minutes, until you really begin to feel that you are being "breathed" by the animal's rhythm.
4) Finally, if you want, mimic the animal's action. If a cat is twitching its tail, imagine you have a tail, then twitch it in the same rhythm. If the horse you are watching is chewing grass, move your jaw in the same motion. How does that feel? Stay with the meditation as long as you wish, or until you get the connection you're looking for.
If you've chosen an animal that is truly in a connected state of being, and you mimic that animal's actions, expressions, breathing and attention, you will begin to feel the same sort of spiritual connection that most animals feel all the time. Plus, it will give you a lot of insight into how your animal perceives the world.
This exercise works because of the law of "as above, so below." When you physically mimic your chosen animal, your mind and spirit will also duplicate the animal's mental and spiritual state. In fact, some horseback riding trainers encourage their (human) students to follow their horses around for an entire day, copying everything they do. This gives the students an opportunity to really understand the world from the horse's point of view.

Meditation I
Aligning the Mind, Body and Soul
Your chest is a great ocean of energy. In it you find the heart. The peace for which every soul strives and which is the true nature of God and the utmost goal of man is found in the heart, or by following the heart. The source of every truth is hidden in every human's heart. The heart is the seat of life, and life is the outcome of harmony. The whole secret of creation is harmony. The harmony of the universe is life itself. And it is life that every one desires. It is life that is the real source of healing. The temple of God resides in the heart. It is the essence of all beings, the progressive, higher self within the self. Always throbbing, always beating, the heart is the ultimate chanter. And the beat of the heart is the rhythm of your soul. The heart chants continuously, relating to the presence of God - the Creative force that continues, uninterrupted. This relationship is perfectly balanced and harmonious. Whether or not you pay attention to it, the heart beats on. The beauty herein is that the moment your heart stops beating, you are released from this world of illusion called Maya. Unfortunately, mankind has replaced the precious internal temple of the heart with the external exterior form of worship. This is a grave error. We must not lose the temple that is the heart. These types of exercises can enable you to align your mental, astral, and physical bodies so that you can become aware of the true, initial cause of imbalance and illness. This, in turn, will provide you with an opportunity to empower and heal yourself by seeking out those situations and persons in your life that need to be addressed and tended to in order to reach a healing point of resolution. The first part of this "I Am Meditation" is an empowering, healing exercise designed to cleanse the lymph glands and the lungs in the upper chest and help you prevent breast cancer and heart attack. It also helps to balance the right and left hemispheres of the brain because the hands are the servants of the brain. The benefits of this meditation are both physical and metaphysical.
Step I. 3 Minutes - Warm-up Sit as calmly as you can, in any posture that does not cause pain. Relax the arms at the sides with the palms facing forward. As rapidly as possible, alternately bend the elbows so that the forearms come up toward the heart center. Do not bend the wrists or hands, and do not touch the chest. As you proceed with this movement, the arms will begin to feel as if they are moving automatically. Try to maintain a balance in the rhythmic motion of your hands. If your hands hit each other, it means that this balance has been upset. After a couple of minutes you may feel sweat on your forehead. Do this first part for at least three minutes.
Step II. 11 Minutes Put your hands on your heart, listen to your heart beat and feel like you are at home. You are resting in the center of your self. Chant along with "I Am I Am" As you chant I Am, feel it in the depth of your soul. Connect with this Divine flame of light that burns within yourself, and let it shine forth and welcome all that is good, all that is healing, all that will aid humankind and its growth in this world. Connect with your heart so that this Divine candlelight may burn brightly, holding your mind, body and spirit, so that these things of goodness and of love may come to you, and God in all his wisdom may guide you towards those healing paths that you are meant to walk.
Step III: Send love, peace, and light to the world. Recite the prayer of Light:
Love before me
Love behind me
Love at my left
Love at my right
Love above me
Love below me
Love unto me
Love in my surroundings
Love to all
Love to the
Universe
Peace before me
Peace behind me
Peace at my left
Peace at my right
Peace above me
Peace below me
Peace unto me
Peace in my surroundings
Peace to all
Peace to the
Universe Light before me
Light behind me
Light at my left
Light at my right
Light above me
Light below me
Light unto me
Light in my surroundings
Light to all
Light to the
Universe
It is critical that you remember that words are powerful. They are living things, servants and slaves to our will, and they will seek to find a way to manifest in shape and form. We must be aware of our magical power and creative inheritance, and take responsibility for what we say, manifest, and do. More than ever before, this is essential. Recite the prayer of love, peace, and light, and make amends, heal yourself and help the world
