Creating Pictures In Your Aura
Excerpted from
Aura Awareness, What Your Aura Says About You

Mental pictures are the images you see in your mind when you think
about a particular person, place, or thing. They can be memories,
desires for the future, telepathic thoughts, or psychic pictures
picked up from someone else. I often experience these psychic images
when visiting old houses or museums. Once, I visited the Asian Art
Museum in San Francisco to look at an exhibit of antique Turkish
rugs. As I walked through the carpets, I could see in my mind's eye
the images of people sitting on the carpets eating dinner, talking,
fighting. I was seeing the afterimages or energy patterns still left
on the rugs from their previous owners.
Creating Pictures In Your Aura
Mental pictures can be created in your head and then transferred to
the energy field around your body, your aura. If you create a
picture that you are a little too fat in the rear end, you will
invariably take that picture and place it right on your posterior!
Then, each time you look in the mirror, you subconsciously see the
picture and reinforce that negative image: "See, I knew I was too
fat." This may be one reason why so many people end up gaining
weight while on a diet; the negative image pictures they create
about themselves get reinforced so much that it is hard to change
them!
You can also collect pictures given to you by other people. Say your
boss says that you did a great job on a project. She creates a
mental picture that you are doing well and gives it to you along
with the words "Good job!" You take that picture, put it into your
aura, and refer to it the next time you have a similar project to
do. "I can do this," you reason, and you have her picture right
there to back you up.
We tend to store images of both positive validation and negative
criticism in our auras, much like we gather clutter in our houses.
Think about it. If you wake up every day to a mess, then you may
find yourself subconsciously creating more messes in your life as a
result. You might find that your energy feels cluttered and stuck
simply because your house is filled with clutter.
Since you live in your aura all the time (think of it as a second
skin, or a favorite t-shirt), you live in the middle of those
pictures you generate or collect from other people. It follows that
whatever images and energy you bring into your aura are the things
you will begin to manifest in real life. You can't help but do so
since you "see" them all the time in your space. When you focus on
something constantly, you give it life; you give it substance.
Bringing in images of what you want to create and storing them in
your aura will give you both a reference point and a doorway for
those things to enter your life. A woman who knows that she can and
will have true love in her life will invariably find it, because she
puts the image of what she wants in the outermost edge of her aura.
The certainty and desire in the picture act like a magnet to attract
Mr. Right.
Keep this in mind the next time you think a negative thought about
yourself, or about your future. Take a deep breath, let that
negative thought go, and decide to replace it with how you choose to
live. This is part of the process of healing your aura, and of
creating a life that you love.
