If possible, do this exercis outdoors in a place where you will not be disturbed. Breathe deeply and evenly, standing barefoot if possible on the earth, sand, grass or natural stone. Become aware that beneath your feet is a living being, without whom none of us would exist as we know it. Feel a sense of gratitude to the Mother Earth who provides for all life on Her surface. Feel a sense of communion with a being much greater than we are, who in Her own way breathes, feels and meditates. Allow yourself to merge into Her, as though you were part of Her intelligent life form. Say a prayer of thanks to Her for all she has done for you and humanity as a whole. I find the best time for this is as the sun is rising early in the morning. love stef
