Hello all,
I have so far given 3 people a reiki session since being attuned.
During my practise on level 1 I had to give a 10min treatment to another student.
I started off by scanning her body and placed my hands upon parts of her body that I felt needed it.
I then went off into moving my hands around her entire body around her aura as if I was gathering and sweeping off unwanted or negative energies.
I've done this also to the 3 people I've given reiki to and if you look at me I start off from their heads and move my hands around their bodies and sort of flick my hands (a bit like scooping up snow from a car and then throwing it to the ground)
I was told by my master that my way of giving a treatment is Shamanic and sort of energetic.
I have waited for a little time with my hands over a certain part of a persons body but in the end I am driven to sweeping of unwanted or negative energies to the ground-I don't do this to look dramatic I do this because it feels the right thing to do and is instinct.
Something tells me to do the above.
I was giving a treatment today and instinctively I had the urge to pull out the blockages and issues etc from the recipients body-this energy felt hot like fire and it was almost forcing my hands apart in an uncomfortable way.
I invoked the purple light and called upon the various higher beings to help me with this and threw it into the ground afterwards.
Is this wrong for me to do?
Do I need to ignore this urge to "pull out lower/negative energies" and use the violet flame and then throw or bury it in the ground?
Has anyone else ever felt the urge to do this or am I just doing this because giving reiki treatments is a new thing to me?
I would really appreciate any explanations.
Thank you for reading this
Love and light
