"I guess every one of us wondered, at least once, how much we can take when we are sentimentally hurt. We love. We love and we feel that, no matter how much, we still can take it. Things have been said. Things that, most of them, are not true. But we know they have been said because the other one is hurt, too. And it's a way to take out the anger or the sadness or the fear that the other feels. And we cannot hit back. Our hearts don’t let us. It would be too painful for them. And we forgive. Because we love. Because we feel how hard would be to live without them. Because our lives have never been the same after meeting them. We love and forgive. And we hope. We hope that things will be alright. That our love knows we love them. And we can forgive everything. And we build around those hopes. We are happy. We are happy because there is a hope. And, one day, the construction is smashed by our love. And we are hurt. And we wonder how much we can take it. And we understand that our love is hurt. And we forgive. Because we love. Because the sun is so beautiful with them in our lives. Because the wind is the friend that takes your caresses and covers your loved one with them. And we start hoping again. Because we love. Because our lives will never be the same again.
There are at least several times when we think we love in our lives. But when we really love, we know. We understand, at last, what unconditional love means. And we are blessed for that. We don’t ask. We give. And this makes us happy.
Will we ever have an answer for that "why?"? Maybe not. Because there is nothing to understand. Things are as they should be. Things just are."
