Hi everyone,
Just a quick question about reiki and testing.
I'd like to apply a scientific approach to test for the effectiveness of reiki.
Is there a testable element to reiki? What types of objective tests can you use to validate? For example, is heat always prevalent when practicing reiki? A thermometer test? Alternately, since reiki fosters ki flow, would a plant-growth test work? (ie plant 20 seeds, apply reiki to half daily?)
Any suggestions?
Best regards,
David

Hi David, Yes a plant growth test would work ;D we had a tray of tiny plug plants and most of them were dying so i treated them with reiki for about 20 minutes 3 times a day and saved 40 % of them they did draw a lot of reiki energy though Quartz crystals hold a reiki charge for about 7 to 10 days then they need cleansing and recharging, oh yeah greetings and welcome to the forum love, Mick

Dear David, Welcome to the forum. Is it required. However Reiki and attunement are the energy based systems. a method like kirlian photography to measure the Aura / energy changes taking place can be recorded. Even in case of plants, in addition to the batch testing, the changes in energy level measurement be thought of. love anand

Thanks for your help, all. Once I'm attuned properly I'll set up a test and let everyone know how it goes. (I got a free attunement online from a place that tried to later sell me something--it seemed fishy so I'm going to receive an in-person attunement.)
Best wishes,
David

an interesting test would be if it was measured from the recipent's angle and not from the sender, since the amount of Reiki that flows is largely depending on the amount that is "pulled" by the recipient... and that would make the result differ a lot depending on test subject and its need, wouldn't it love Michael
