hi All
Besides being attuned to the third level, how do you define mastery in Reiki?
Is it that you master the skill to channel the energy?
Is it that you have the knowledge of Reiki history?
Is it that you have a good lineage?
Is it that you have surrendered to the energy?
Is it your decision to teach?
How do you see this?
Please share your views.

this is a very good question..
I have to give it some thoughts ..
But i personnally think that Mastery is a long process ..
being master is not just being attunes to level 3
It is how you live your life
Are you being Reiki ? are you living reiki ?
are practicing the principles to its deepest level
Are strong in front of disaster ....
Are you not judgemental ..are you compassionate
Are you forgiving ?
I think being Reiki is more important than knowing its history or be expert of channeling the energy
everyone has the capacity of channeling if they are attune or not ...
As for lineage
I don't care more or less about that
My lineage is the SOURCE as all of us before anything else
I look for that ..

I consider myself a student of reiki, "Master" is just a title (yea I know student is as well).
If you actually think about what a "master" is..........well we are all still students.

I did some research on this  ;D and the most common definition I could find is 'One who has been attuned to Master Level and has passed on at least 1 attunement'............so why is it that none of us like to call ourselves Reiki Masters.........it doesn't mean that we are Masters of Reiki, it is just a title ;D ;D Ruth is right.......we are all still students.........but we are all teachers as well because our experiences and thoughts that we post here all help others  love stef  |

Whether one is a student or master or both, I feel, one has to BE REIKI.
