Intent to recieve reiki

Hi guys

I got an email from a friend who is not feeling well at the moment and not able to treat herself at the moment. She said that for the last few days she has just asked to recieve the reiki that is being sent to her.

So I got thinking When I send reiki to the people, animals and situations on my list I always intend that if someone no longer needs it, it is passed on to where it is needed. So I figured that if you are not being sent any reiki you could intend to recieve the 'spare' reiki that is floating about up there.

But my brain wouldn't let me stop at that I got thinking that anyone could intend to recieve this energy whether they are attuned or not, as long as they know about reiki and they are relaxed enough.

Am I on the right track or is my brain just running off again and making stuff up

I believe anyone can recieve from the universe. But I also believe it is easier to do so if you have some experience working with the energy.

My trick is to imagine that I'm at the beach getting myself some tan, but in my visualization, it is ULE/Reiki that is perforating the skin, sinking into the body... quite cool
