This one's for Michael, but anyone else is welcome to use it - I borrowed it from my dad who is a hypnotherapist, and is involved in a group where he lives.
In the next couple of months I am planning to set up a once monthly healing group which will be open to any complimentary therapists.
I plan to hold sessions one evening a month that are open to the public. So far I have interest from Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu and Accupuncture therapists. All giving their time and treatments for free.
The idea is that members of the public pay a fee of £5 to cover the hire of premises, insurance and advertising etc. and they will then be able to get a treatment session of their choice.
For me it gives me the chance to practise reiki on lots of people in a safe environment, without making any money for myself. If other therapists want to use it to gain custom for themselves, that is entireley up to them, but I do not want to make money from reiki.
All the money collected at each session will go into a bank account and at the end of the year, if there is any money spare, I will give it to a local charity.
I have other plans to push this idea further, but for the moment I just want to get it started.
So Michael, if you are facing prejudice in your area, think about setting up something like this, then see what the money men think of it. I bet you'll scare them
