now get this question If you could turn back time - knowing what you know today, with the experience that you have today... would you still choose to get attuned to Reiki - or any other healing modality that you first learnt - or would you rather pass the opportunity? and a motivation with your answer would be nice ;D love Michael

Yeah Michel, if I could turn back in time, I'd choose getting attuned to reiki once again. And, more than that, I'd like to have the same parents and the same grand-parents once again... Anyway, life is beautiful the way it is and the show must - or mustn't - go on... let me let you all with a poem for thinking by Jorge Luis Borges, Instants:
If I could live my life again. Next time, I would try to make more mistakes. I would not try to be so perfect, I would relax more. I would be sillier than I have been. I would take fewer things seriously. I would be less fastidious. Accept more risks, I would take more trips, Contemplate more evenings, Climb more mountains, and swim more rivers... I would go to more places where I have not been, Eat more ice cream and fewer beans. I would have more real problems and less imaginary ones. I was one of those people who lived sensibly and meticulously every minute of their life. Of course I have had moments of happiness. But if I could go back in time, I would try to have good moments only, and not waste precious time. I was someone who never went anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bag, an umbrella and a parachute. If I could live again, I would travel more frivolously. If I could live again, I would begin to walk barefoot at the beginning of the spring and I would continue to do so until the end of autumn. I would ride more merry-go-rounds, I would contemplate more evenings and I would play with more children. If I could have another life ahead. But I am 85 years old you see, and I know that I am dying.

If I could turn back time I would still be attuned to Reiki, but I would have done it years earlier.
Reasons: because its made me see things in a completely different way than I used to.
Mind you, I found out about reiki on the internet, and they didn't have that back in my day. ;D

I think that everyone's biggest dream is to Be Happy and Stay Happy. That's what Reiki, or one of the healing modalities, does to the individfual in the long run. So, the sooner one starts running with one of these modalities, sooner he will realise the dream and sustain it.
So, if I could turn back time, I would love to have reiki at the conception time itself. Now, its difficuilt to turn back time, therefore let us engage ourselves to send reiki to the willing couples amongst our friends, relations, acquaintences, enemies etc., for the new borns to be born with Reiki or one of the healing modalities.
May be someone someday will call this Conception Reiki.
love anand

No I wouldn't turn back time. My life is so enriched due to my experiences now. I understand that you would know what you know now, but you run the risk of loosing some valuable lessons along the way. I've thought about this when I went through a divorce and if I could only change things............well it could come at a price.
Good example, go see the movie 'Click', sometimes having it all isn't worth the price you pay.
Reiki came into my life at that time for a reason. I've grown, I've learned and I've listened more than ever before.
I'm happy right where I'm at.......right now......and with all of you:)

Hey Michael, I like this thread. ;D I have never looked back since Reiki and my other spiritual gifts were revealed to me. As others have said it's such a joy and privilege to help your fellow brothers and sisters in this world we live in. Like Mick, I too battled with my own demons (for ten years) and have also been totally clean from drugs for over four years now. If there's one thing I am certain of, it's that I won't relapse into my old destructive habits and this is as a direct result of my spiritual path being revealed to me. I really do get my natural 'highs' from logging into wonderful forums such as this one to share experiences and support others, or be supported. Love, Danny
