SOME THOUGHTS ON LOW SELF ESTEEM
A remark of late Lama Yeshe:
"We have to understand the middle path: that a human has a positive and a negative side. We have a false, ignorant side, but we also have a beautiful potential." - If I cannot accept myself as being human, how can I ever accept others? If I cannot accept others, how can I respect and love them? If I cannot respect and love others, how can they respect and love me? - Spirituality is going beyond our self and self-interested focussing, it requires courage, independence, faith in our own potential, and peace of mind. Note that these aspects all refer in some way to self-confidence and self acceptance. - By falling over and getting up many times, children learn that walking is possible. In judo: falling many times teaches you to fall without pain. -We cannot avoid falling, we can avoid the pain! - We can only learn by admitting we don't know everything yet, we can only grow if we accept that we are not perfect. - Be light, humorous, eager to learn, courageous to change and not afraid of mistakes. - Emotionally beating yourself up is not helping yourself or the world; it does not change the past, nor does it change the future; it only makes the present miserable.

very good post Brigitte Important also to note that as long as a person feels 'ugly' or 'fat' or 'unworthy of love' nothing will change - each of us creates his own reality moment by moment - If you want to be beautiful, think & feel beautiful - and beauty will shine attracting more of same. I'm not saying it is easy - just be aware that the point of your focus becomes your reality. You CAN have, be, do - anything you set your mind to ~ and you WILL have, be, do - everything you set your mind to.

Yes, I know from my own experience that it is not easy A very long time in my life, I have had low self- esteem but it was only my own thinking not to be good or or loveable for others. It takes very long to overcome it... Reiki helps me much in this process.. Love, Brigitte

Our 'conditioning' is what lets us down - being raised by good Catholic parents, I can't count how many times I was told I'm a sinner and not worthy of god's second glance -
So imagine trying to be worthy of any person's love knowing that god, who is loving and forgiving won't bother with me because I'm a sinner.
I came to realize that god is not somewhere 'out there' passing judgement on me - god is in me - and you - and everyone & everything - accepting - BE-ing.
That helped to drive a wedge in the "unworthiness" attitude - oh I still have my 'pity-parties' and 'low energy' days - but knowing that I am PART of this whole THING - this EXISTENCE - keeps me on the track of KNOWING that "I" am responsible for how I FEEL in any given moment. "I" am the only one that can change "ME" - I am responsible for my own happiness - no one else.
Therefore, *I* make ME happy -
most days - LOL

pity-parties ;D had quite a few lately, but today has been absolutely brilliant. I have been enjoying the fruit of a lot of coincidences coming together, just for me, and I can feel the love from my guides and angels and I'm so grateful and happy.
keep shining that light Michael
