Hello again,
I thought I might like to share some of my early experiences with spirit.
Growing up I was painfully shy and ever so sensitive, much of my time was spent alone due to the fact that I didn't mix well with other kids. I felt so different and just couldn't understand how to fit in. I was content to be in solitude, inside my head using my vivid imagination to escape this strange world that I found myself in.
We used to live in an old pit house and didn't have a great deal of money in those days. I have a memory of being sent to bed one evening and 'seeing' an old gentleman wearing a cloth cap, a white shirt, dark trousers with a huge brown belt over the top of them, standing at the bottom of my bed. He smiled and then winked at me. Confused by this intrusion, I hollered down the stairs to my parents telling them of my visitor! I couldn't understand it when I was told to stop imagining things and to go to sleep. I protested that that they wouldn't even come and have a look, but it was to no avail... My visitor seemed to vanish into thin air, along with my credibility.
I don't recall any further 'other world' incidences until I was an adult and asked to work as a painter and decorator in an old mansion with a friend of mine. We visited one evening to explore this vast house and get a sense of the magnitude of the task in hand. On entering most of the rooms I was aware of something touching either my hair, face or shoulder, when I voiced this activity to my friend he just laughed and said that it was my imagination - I knew different. LOL
Once we commenced work on this stately home, we were in amongst other tradesman including plumbers, electricians, joiners and roofers. As with any undertaking on this scale, the work has to be coordinated and it's essential to work alongside and get on with your fellow peers. Whilst decorating the huge kitchen one day we observed a plumber walk past the window and then he stood before us looking rather irritated and asked us to stop bolting the back door because it meant that they (the plumbers) had to walk all the way round to get back into the house. My friend and I looked at each other and told him that this was not our doing.. well you can imagine when this happened twice more, this gentleman became irate and even muttered threats! This type of activity continued long after these tradesman vacated the site and even happened to us on various ocassions - someone in the spirit world was clearly having a laugh at our expense!
I also have memories of filling up a bucket of hot water with which to wash my pasting board down after each piece of wallpaper was primed ready for hanging. I became suspicious when my water was still hot after about four hours, bearing in mind that this was the middle of winter in an old, cold house. It didn't happen every day, but I was thankful on the occasions that it did.
Other times I would be painting in an area of the house completely in isolation when I would repeatedly hear my name being called, only to discover that nobody was there. I later learned that this house had been exorcised several times over the years, although I never really felt that there was anything there to worry about at this stage... I would love to return to this location as a medium and tune in to find out what really happened there! I never dreamed that one day I would be on this path, but looking back it was another signpost on my journey as to my true calling.
Thanks for reading,
Danny
