Hi everybody,
I've been searching through some stuff on the back boards of DE and found some of my writing that is pretty 'homeless.' I hope someone gets something out of it.
To help you connect with your guide, I thought we could try inspirational writing this week.
Inspirational writing is not to be confused with automatic writing, with the latter, spirit actually control your hand and write the words for you. I must admit that I've never had any success with this, but maybe you will - it doesn't appear to be one of my gifts.
Inspirational writing on the other hand, is when you are inspired to write down your thoughts, which can originate from a spirit guide or from your higher-self..
I always like to set my intention before I begin any spiritual work and this is no exception.
This is a suggested method - send out a prayer to ask for a high guide, or your guide to enter your consciousness - it might help to meditate first. once you are calm and centred, then invite a guide to impress you with words. I find it is often helpful to start writing first - anything will do, for example, I start off by writing: "I am ready to be inspired now." Trying not to get in the way of any communication, (don't analyze or judge the information coming through) record any words or thoughts that pop into your consciousness. Sometimes the words will flow nicely and other times the connection might break down. If you are finding it difficult to make a connection, or it seems to come in and out, then it often helps to raise your vibration. To do this you can visualize your crown chakra opening up on the top of your head and see white light come pouring in, down through your entire body. Also it helps to monitor your body throughout any psychic work: are you still relaxed or are you tensing a part of your body?? Try to take a deep breath in through your nose and as you breathe out through your mouth, let your shoulders and your torso drop simultaneously.
It might require a bit of practice to channel anything through. My early attempts were unsuccessful and it took a time before I was able to channel a few sentences, but with perseverance, I became addicted and was soon filling a journal with inspirational writings. These days it's how I conduct my mediumistic, absent readings. That said, you may have instant success!
The key to success with any of these endeavors is perseverance.....
I have just been reminded by my guide to tell you that sometimes you might feel like you are making it all up... but that's ok... that's how it can feel at first.
One more thing I'd like to say: when I channel I don't stop to read it as I go along, I just keep recording it faithfully and often times when I have finished and I go back to read it, I have little recollection of what I have written. This is often the case with mediumship. I know other mediums who say the same. I believe it's because you are in an altered state and are getting yourself out of the way as much as possible..... Less of me, more of spirit... think about that statement for a while, it is important to remember.
To slightly change the subject for a while, I thought I might like to cover how you receive information and how it fits in with your expectations... in other words, you might be surprised at how subtle the vibrations you are working with whilst working as a medium. To simplify things somewhat, it's often a case of discerning between your own thoughts and those of a spirit inspirer.
Once you learn how to do this, it's likely that you will start to realize that you have in fact been receiving guidance for a while.
You will often hear mediums tell you that they hear spirit objectively, (as an actual voice which appears to be from an external source) but to be honest, this method of communication is slower and is said to be using a lower vibration.
A more effective way of communicating, in my humble opinion, is subjective clairaudience, ( what it means to you, or you point of reference) or better still, inspirational speaking. When this happens, spirit comes into my aura and I become blown up like a hovercraft, with amazing loving energy and I can't wait to speak out their wisdom and messages of comfort. I'm comprehensively compelled to be the voice of the spirit world for that allotted time, or as Derek Acorah once so beautifully put it: "rent a gob."
I have heard my guide talk to me objectively on a number of occasions, but it's only been when I'm hanging on the edge of a cliff, metaphorically speaking and am about to quit my path - desperate times call for desperate measures and this is what I needed to get me back on my life path. I'm not saying that this is true for everybody, but this is my truth.
I will talk about clairvoyance and clairsentience in a little while, but for now I will close as I've waffled on enough for one night.
Lots of love,
Danny
