Hello everyone , i hope you are all doing very well. I would like to share with you all a physical exercise that works wonders. probably all of you have seen it before within yoga routines , it's called the back bridge or wrestler's bridge. This exercise loseens the stiffness that gets accumulated in the lower back, upper back or trapezious regions. This combined with deep breathing as the one used in meditation gives you dynamic energy and personal power. The increased blood flow to the head will help improve memory, and the concentration involved in holding the bridge for varying amounts of time will make you a cooler, calmer and more focused individual. This exercise also builds the muscles in your abdominals, legs, hips, buttocks ,back , shoulders and neck. Bridging stretches the spine and muscles along the spine. Thats what chiropractors do , stretch you out. If your a person with little time to do a form of physical exercise or meditation , try doing this exercise in the morning and before going to bed at night , hold the position for as long as you can , do not force it. strive eventually to touch your nose to the floor. inhale and hold for a count, then exhale and hold for a count. just forget about counting time and count breaths instead. you can see an image of the bridge here: www.satoriinternational.com/images/newsletter0705/Bridge.jpg
Take care everyone. Namaste.
Note: if you have a previous back/spine injury or are not in a healthy physical condition you should talk to a health care professional before attempting this or any form of exercise program.
