Butter is good for you: Well apparently all food is good for us....in small doses. But in this day and age people eat more butter than they used to even just 40 years ago, so maybe people who eat butter should eat a little less

Eggs are healthy: Have these people been to a chicken farm recently......the hens are often kept in appauling conditions.....so there is a very high risk of infection....cases of salmonella are always increasing....Yeah, they contain protein and fatty acids....but so do seeds ;D ;D and they're not infected in the way that eggs are ;D
3.
Saturated fats and cholesterol are vital for optimum health: I totally agree with that.......but most people have too much
which causes problems. A well balanced vegan diet gives your body a good amount of sat. fats and cholesterol ;D ;D
4.
Foods from grass-fed animals are important for goodhealth: How many animals are fed grass these days.....have the people who wrote this forgotten BSE already
And the reason that food from grass fed animals is good for you is because they have a good healthy diet ;D ;D ;D
5.
Lean meat and low-fat milk should be avoided: I totally agree with this ;D ;D ;D ;D....No further comment ;D ;D

Modern soy products are dangerous: This may be true......but they are no more dangerous than meat and dairy products which also contain potent carcinogens, along with harmful antibiotics, growth hormones and all the other stuff that they are fed to make them plumper quicker

Hydrogenated and liquid vegetable oils contribute to heart disease and many other health problems: same answer as no. 6 ;D

A vegan diet leads to serious nutritional deficiencies: I totally disagree with this, I have lived a vegan lifestyle for around 9 years now, I have annual health checks and always pass with flying colours. I am a regular blood donor, I have the right balance of vitamins and minerals in my blood, my liver and kidney functions are better than they should be for my age
;D.....all this, and I don't take any dietary supplements ;D ;D I just make sure that I eat a healthy, well balanced diet ;D ;D

Not all "organic" foods are healthy: I agree with this, both with crops and meat and dairy products.....they still grow in the same polluted air, and with the same polluted rain water.....there may not be added pesticides in the crops, and antibiotics in the meat, but they still have the same pollution as non organic foods.......and meat and dairy products still contain natural growth hormones even if they are organic

Breakfast cereal is a junk food: I agree....processed junk food, with added sugar and salt....and lots of other added rubbish

Thanks for posting this Michael.....I love a good 'discussion' ;D ;D ;D When I made the decision to change to a vegan diet, I decided that I wanted to do it properly.....there's no point shouting your mouth off about a vegan diet if you're not very healthy ;D....so I spent time studying nutrition....and I know that, if done properly, a vegan diet is very healthy ;D ;D ;D ;D
