I may have posted this subject before, but, since Im a bit foggy sometimes, I can't remember for sure. Occasionally, I give Reiki treatments to my little black cat, Zoey. She seems to like it. Since she's a cat, she doesn't require a very long session....just a few minutes at a time. My other cat, Sidd, is more of a Reiki sender than a Reiki recipient. (but that's another post all together.) Who here has had experience giving Reiki to their pets? What's it like for you and your "Fur People?"

Well, i have tried to give Reiki to some cats with the result that they used all their claws on my hand to show their appreciation, well I recon they didn't like it. Some people say that since cats are connected to Reiki, they tend to get a bit insulted when being given reiki by a mere human. But then, i've ran into cats that have been ill, and they have appreciated the healing session. I've also noticed that cats have a tendency to lie down close to or over the place in the body where someone has pain, their body kind of turns real warm and the reason for the pain is calmed.
Dogs seems to appreciate it at any time, they just give in to it, I've even calmed down angry dogs by sending them reiki before touching them.

LOL...I know what you mean when you speak of cats being insulted when offered Reiki by a mere human....When I asked my cat Sidd if he wanted to be attuned, he looked at me as if to say "Human, you have GOT to be kidding..." So, I dropped the subject with him.

I've noticed though that fishes and turtles like reiki I experimented with that when visiting an aquarium ;D
