Hi Sidney and Stef, I am so pleased to hear about this drug. last year my mothers partner died , in May he was diagnosed with bowel and prostate cancer, they operated succesfully and he responded very well to the drugs they gave him . Sadly they had missed the primary cancer in his liver which advanced rapidly .....I'm rabbiting He had 4 friends, dating back to University and he and 3 others all contracted prostate cancer within 2 yrs of each other. If caught early it seems to respond well to drugs. This cancer appears to be prolific, why?, is it in the water? Please let us know if you can get this drug Sidney. Thnking of you and your dad Stef, Much love, Imogen

Dearest Sidney, Don't know if this is of any use but.......................... www.cougarbiotechnology.com/docs/060208ASCO2008AnnualMeetingPresentations.pdf. This link gives you the names and email addresses of the folks who make Abiraterone. I think unfortunately Cancer of all types has been around for ages but people are more willing to talk about it now. At work I am seeing more and more teenagers with bone cancer, but this is due to improved diagnostic tests. My heart goes out to you all touched by this dreadful disease Sammi

Hi Sidney I found another link to the PCF www.prostatecancerfoundation.org/site/c.itIWK2OSG/b.4343613/k.52FC/Abiraterone_Acetate_Trial.htmwith much more info - specifically on study trials which were due to start in April THIS YEAR in the US, Canada, UK and Australia and due to end approx June 2011. I don't know what the procedure is for enquiries but here's the contact number for Australia - Royal Hobart Hospital Hobart, Australia, 7000 Contact: Louise Nott, MD swigston@bigpond.net.au I do hope this brings us the hope we're looking for especially on your behalf and that of Stef's father God Speed, Love Anna
