Hi All, I am Reiki attuned, although I tend not to use it much outside of myself and my family, and for distance healing. Last year, I finished my training as a Bowen Technique practitioner, which is a method of healing using physical manipulation of certain points on the body to create change in the muscles, nerves and energy pathways. Throughout my Bowen training, we had it pushed at us that some healing techniques were not to be used with Bowen (such as physiotherapy) as they actually go against what Bowen is doing. One of the treatments not to be used in conjuction with Bowen is Reiki/Spiritual Healing? I cannot see how Reiki goes against any other healing form, and none of the trainers were able to properly identify to me why I was not to use the healing systems in conjunction with each other. I had hoped to "open to Reiki" on willing clients, then perform a full body Bowen treatment on people, to obtain any maximum benefit for their ailments where possible. Apart from the fact that Bowen is often called "a jealous lover", (i.e.: it likes to claim all benefits felt for itself) can anyone see any reason why I should not use Reiki with Bowen Technique? Many Thanks, tourmaline. XXX

Keep it clean keep it pure ! Yup had that with Kathleen Milner (Tera Mai) I ignored that, it doesn't matter what so ever what you put along side the Reiki as long as your intent is for the higher good, and it should also be the same with the Bowen, look here's the thing, you did Reiki before Bowen right? well do you still feel the Reiki energy coming through ?even if you don't consciously switch it on it's right there in your hands so while you are doing the Bowen your clients are getting an indirect feed of Reiki. We all have free will no matter how much we paid for our courses of this that and other and no one can say what you work with only it is up to you,if you want to use Bowen and Reiiki then do so, in fact you will notice some times that while doing one thing the other will sneak in . I read that to mix TM with other modalities would be watering down the strength, poppycock ! I also do Angel healing and quite often while I'm doing Reiki in will pop an Angel and change everything, arms may be lifted, legs may be lifted, feet massaged, bodies brushed, then they'll go and the Reiki is still flowing,Reiki doesn't mind and the clients certainly don't,who could, when they are getting more than one therapy for the price of one ? Go on mix it, it won't hurt anything, just keep your intent pure thats the only thing that needs to be considered here. love and light Tolly x

Hi Tourmaline Healing is healing...............the intent is to help to heal others.............I say use whatever tools you have that will help. I can understand that physiotherapy may not work well when used alongside Bowen as they are both forms of physical manipulation so they may not complement each other, but I can see no reason why non-evasive energy healing should not be used in conjunction with Bowen...........why should one healing technique 'take all the credit', when you may get better results from using different techniques together. love stef

Thank you tolly and stef. Your replies pretty much tally with what I personally think, but to hear it expressed by others with more experience adds to the confidence. Thanks again. Love, Tourmaline.
