Is there any special format that one must use for a Reiki session in which two practitioners are working on one person? Love, Joanie

Hi,
I've not come across any specific way of working in pairs or with multiple practitioners, however, from experience, I would recommend a couple of things
1. If there are more than two of you working on someone make sure one is working the legs feet area... it helps to keep the recipient as grounded as possible, some people find it uncomfortable if there's alot of energy build up in the head/chest area
2. you will find that the session will be much shorter, the more practitioners, the quicker the energy builds, common sense I know, but you'd be surprised how often it's overlooked.

Hi Joannie I used to go to a Reiki share with 4 - 6 other people. We would all work on one person at a time............as Nick has already said, make sure that one person concentrates on the lower legs and feet as a lot of energy is generated so it's important to keep the recipient grounded. If there are more than 2 people, you can have 1 concentrating on the head, while the others work on the body and upper legs. We would spend just 5-10 minutes working on each person, depending on how many people were there. love stef

haha stef I just realized that when I went to my first Reiki share I started concentrating on the legs and feet without even thinking about it while the others worked on the head and upper body I thought I was just trying to get outta the way of everyone else but now I guess I know why I went straight for the legs and feet Namaste ;D

when doing reiki on a person with more then one person partcipating make sure all move at the same time usually the person who is at the head is the one who says when to move or go so to speak they will all feel the build and subsiding of energy when the session takes place.
hope this helps

Hi Chris When I went to the Reiki shares, we didn't always work on the chakras, we did a lot of scanning as well............in that case, each person should move away from the area they're working on when they feel it is the right time to move, regardless of what the other practitioners are doing. love stef

Thanks everyone The psychic fair went well, and my reiki partner and I worked on a lot of people yesterday. We followed our usual Reiki share format where the person at the head called the shots. It was short sessions....15 minutes or less, and we introduced several people to the practice who had never before experienced it. Thanks again for your insights. Love, Joanie
