Japanese Salad (not sure why it is called Japanese salad when it uses Chinese noodles??)
3 or 4 chicken breasts, cooked and slivered 1-1/2 heads lettuce torn 4 green onions and tops, thinly sliced 1 small can Chinese noodles 1 small package slivered almonds 1/4 cups poppy seeds
Dressing: 4 Tbs. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 5 Tbs. white vinegar 1/2 cup salad oil. (mix together and set aside)
Combine salad ingredients and mix. Top with dressing.
(Note: Typically I'll mix everything together except the chinese noodles and the dressing unless I know it will go quickly because the noodles get soggy if they sit for a few hours. I'll leave those in a separate dish and let everyone add them as they go).

That sounds yummy, Ruth. By Chinese noodles, do you mean the crunchy chow mein things you get in the round cannister? I think LaChoy is the brand I am thinking about.....
