Well over a year ago, a member of this forum was thinking of receiving an attunement for angelic wings, but was slightly distressed at having to pay for such a thing. After reading his post, I remembered a ritual I had found that allowed you to attune yourself.
The ritual turned out to be a rousing success, I received countless PM's about it. I recently came back from a long hiatus from this forum and wanted to revive this thread so that anyone new to the forum could perform this wonderful ritual for themselves. But, because I can't find the old thread, and the link I found the ritual on is currently defunct, I had to do some, long, tedious and lets say.... sketchy searching to find it.
But enough boring stories, once again I present the Wing-Unfurling ritual, straight out of the book "Summoning Angels" by Claire Nahmed:
Of course, those who already performed it may wish to re-perform it the way some re-attune themselves to reiki, but the chouce is always yours

Wing-Unfurling Ritual
Prepare an aromatherapy burner with perfumed oil, or light a few incense sticks or cones, performing the task as an act of heart-ritual to the angels. Stand by an open window and breathe three complete breaths 'through the heart'. Ground yourself, using any method you are familiar with. Spread your arms out as if in a welcoming embrace, and say: 'I salute and greet with love all my angel company. I ask for the help of my guardian angel in unfurling the wings of my spirit.'
Begin to unfurl your wings, using your imagination. They extend all the way up your spine and past your shoulders, towering above your head and, when fully extended, sweeping below the soles of your feet. They quiver with white and golden light. They are composed of ethereal fibres, as are the wings of the angels, and they receive the light of the angels and the light of the Holy Child or the Christ (or whoever the spirit of light and healing is in your particular spiritual practice).
If you experience any problem as you unfurl your wings for the first time, ask your angel to help you and it will gently comb away the difficulty.
The divine light from your heart-centre will transform your wing fibres into quills of starlike radiance which give forth the precious life-force – the Goddess-God life-force – to all humanity. Along these sensitive, shining quills the angels commune with us, and send us messages of healing and love.
Practise spreading and undulating these wings of light. Beat them in time to the beat of your heart. You can give enfoldment and blessing with your wings, and you can give yourself substantial protection. Learn to spread them at an inner command so that they wrap right around you and make you into a pillar of light, from the star chakra above your crown to the earth chakra below your feet.
When walking in the city or in out-of-town shopping centres where the energy currents are significantly heavy and materialistic, it is a good idea to enfold yourself in your wings of light. You can still receive and give positive vibrations within your wings – you do not make yourself spiritually invisible inside your column of light! Draw the ritual to a close by mindfully thanking the angels and putting out the candle in the aromatherapy burner or snuffing the incense sticks.
