Love Halloween, it's my oldest son's bday (22)
Than don't forget November 1st is all Saints Day. There is a lot of energy in these days not to mention a full moon the day following and daylight savings time here.

Yes Ruth first Daylight savings ours start first Sunday of October bit of a mess we normally have three time zones East West and Central time across Australia about two hours difference from east to west now some states have daylight saving and some don’t. Now a lot of our TV. Is satellite and it doesn’t change and so on result a mess .And yes Halloween is good fun for the Kids. However it has its problems egg throwing for one and some Halloween party’s get out of hand. Just have to tell you USA gets the blame as most Australians think Halloween came to Australia from the USA so its your fault and yes I know it is an old Celtic tradition and came from Ireland and England to the colonies like us that wont stop me from blaming the American down the end of my street .
Ruth I would like to ask you a question do you know the name Don Lane he was born in New York and came to Australia round forty years ago he came for six weeks and stayed for the rest of his life he was an entertainer dancer singer ETC and played a large part in the TV industry and was loved by all Australians he had a number of shows the Don lane show was only one of many. He retained his New York accent and was highly regarded by us all .He passed away one week ago from Alzheimer’s related disease aged seventy five in a Sydney nursing home his death was mourned his life was celebrated ,his memorial will be held next Thursday and it will be a big one.

Sidney I will take blame for the egg throwing.....I don't mind   However, I can say I have never thrown eggs at anyone or anything....even during my teenage years, back about 25 years ago toilet papering houses was the big thing....I did one in my life and....it was fun.  I have heard of Don Lane but I don't really or could say that I followed him. I will have to google his info. How sad that he passed. Lovely souls always seem to leave us way too soon.  love ruth |
