I hope this is the right place to ask this question.
I have had vertigo and dizzyness for 15 months, details would take too long but I am guessing I had some kind of Central Nervous System overload/problem whatever. One psychic who did not know me said MS related, and an online healer friend trained in St. Hildegaard Medicine said MS as well.
My question: when I close my eyes I get worse, but closing eyes is needed for meditation, calming etc and I get little sleep. Why is it I have a problem closing my eyes and what can I do to calm myself?

Hi Rita, Just briefly; have you looked into EFT (emotional freedom technique)? It's free and highly effective! Just use your search engine and there are some amazing tutorials on youtube. I do urge you to try it. Sorry for the short reply. With love and best wishes, Danny

Heya Gracie! I don't have any spiritual kind of advice but myself and some others have recently set up a site for rare illnesses and disabilites, might not have all the answers you are looking for! I get dizzy spells when I lie down on my back which is quite freaky especially for instance in the bath, its more of a funny spell than a dizzy spell though tbh as if I might just black out and usually have to sit up fully or at least a little bit for a minute till it passes Ive had loads of other issues with balance, dizzyness, to name only a few of the symptoms I have! I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which I basically self diagnosed but have now had confirmed I am now watiing on an appointment for an MRI scan to check for Chiari Malformation. The type am sure I have is EDS Chiari Malformation but it can cause chronic head pain, migraine tinnitus, vertigo etc Not saying thats what you have but there are loads of rare genetic illnesses that are hard to get diagnosis for or even to find out about. It was only by chance I found info about EDS! The site I am working on is www.rid-alliance.orgI hope its ok for me to post the link with the site owners, it is a free site and is meant only to try and help myself and others with rare illnesses and disabilities many of which are hard to diagnose or quantify by normal medical means and otherwise known to many of us as invisible illnesses, they are defintiely not invisible if you have one though and impacts on your life so much! Either way I hope you can get the answers you need. Just wondered is it at all possible you could change which position you are in while meditating if that might help a little? All the best!

Thank you both for your input.
Danny, I have heard this mentioned before but have never checked into it. I will do so.
Fruity, I bookmarked your website and only read the intro page so far, but it sounds great.
Ironically, I am a writer and have been meaning to write about my experiences, but after I do what I must to pay the rent I am so exhausted there is no time for socialization online or fun stuff. Also, sitting is my worst position and looking at a computer screen is no picnic either, but I am grateful for whatever I can do.
I have been to support meetings and looked at many websites, but they all fail to give advice to people who have no support system - no medical insurance, no family, and no disability payments. I am one of those fallen through the cracks, and I wish there was someone out there who would address these things.
Sorry I went a little off-topic here. I am excited to have found this forum, even though I may not be able to participate much.
Thank you all blessings Rita
