Sensitive yet not attuned

Have you ever met someone who is not attuned to Reiki but can give healing and find peoples weaknesses just by gut-feeling?

I know a woman who is like that, she always feel it when I am giving Reiki to people around her. She works as a nurse and she often knows what's wrong with the patients long before the doctors made their diagnosis. And when the patients need help and the doctors are too busy, she sees light in front of her and she focus on the light and gives the light to the patients. She have saved several lifes that way, just by knowing when and how the patient needs help.

The thing is she is not attuned to Reiki or any other form of healing system.

Quite strange really.

Hello Lightwanderer,

I will share my experiences regarding your most recent post.
When I was in my twenties before any Reiki knowledge, I had a
friend who was very special, he could heal just by laying on of
the hands and he was able to do extrodinary things.

Once I had very sore lumps on my leg below the knee and he placed
his hands upon the area and drew great amounts of breath
until he shook, the next day the lumps where gone.

Unfortunetly today he no longer posesses his gifts due to
kaotic life style and choices, but my initial exposure to him has
influenced me in many great ways along my Reiki Journey.

My personal experiences have leed me to believe that we can
inherently be specially designed within our energy DNA
to manipulate energy for healing and many other types of
potential energy manifestation it is just beyond mortal
recognition but within the grasps of the truly faithful,
connected to the Divine within us all.
I hope this post makes sense, sometimes I channel
and the meaning gets a little distilled.

Your post makes a lot of sense.
I too was able to heal before my attunement, though I was not good at shielding myself so I ended up getting ill after giving healing. In tht matter, Reiki has helped me a lot.

The reason I started this thread was because my friend asked me to attune her to Reiki. But since she can handle it all quite well, I don't know how the attunement would affect her healing gift.

I hae been studying Reiki for just a little while and was only recently attuned to Reiki I. What I've discovered is that a lot of techniques I was practicing already (not symbols, but more visualizing light). My teacher said that everyone has the ability and can unconsciously send energy, some people are simply more sensitive and aware of what hey are doing. Learning Reiki has been a way to validate myself in what I can already do, and it is helping me to focus and strengthen my abilites. Plus the sheilding, centering and grounding is definitely helping my health as before I felt drained constantly.

Hi Lightwanderer,

It sounds like this friend of yours has a beautiful natural gift. For the few people I know that have been born with such gifts, Reiki did not harm them in any way. If anything, it complemented the gift very well by teaching them the specific feel and method to call in another form of energy in order to aid in healing. I do strongly doubt that attuning her to Reiki would cause harm in this regard. Instead, she will likely feel her abilities expanding. In time, she will probably learn to use both methods apart or together as needed for the best effect overall.
