Where is everyone? I'm also at a loss as to how to interact with any reiki community in Montreal without spending money I'm frustrated. I was attuned like 8 or 9yrs ago but have seldom had any interaction in real life, like a conversation about it, etc. * there I added an avatar its a doll my wife and I share. She made the skirt and blouse. Why won't SRI let you join? I used to be a moderator on there years ago.  This site has gone quiet in recent times and that is for a number of reasons. I guess good weather and holiday season doesn't help either. Would you agree that your posts are sometimes; how can I put this without meaning to sound rude? A little radical, shall we say? Is this intentional, or an attempt at initiating a response? lol I hope you take my post in the the spirit it is meant. Best wishes, Danny |

I'm from Montreal which is one of the most multicultural cities on the globe. I have to see things from a radical perspective because it is impossible for me to see only 1 culture as others do.
Camille Paglia supports comparative religious education.
I do as well.
Most people would not like that.

For some reason I was unable to get an email allowing me to join. And there seems no way to contact. I was hoping if someone here was a member in both places they could pass the message along to let me join the forum

I used to have my own forum, using the same platform/format as SRI do, so I think I understand what the problem is. They'll no doubt have been bombarded with spam bots, as I was, so will have felt the need to partially close off membership for admin approval, also, as I did. Every day I used to check for new members and spent time checking out IP addresses for any known spam activity on other sites, which is highly laborious btw! So often, I would just tune into the energy of the user name and delete where I felt apropriate. Much quicker! Can I make a suggestion? Try to join again, but use a 'light and fluffy' user name. A one that relates to service work - 'light worker' or 'healing hands' or something of that nature, then you can always change it once you've joined. Trust me on this one, it should help. In my experience, the spammers' user names were easy to spot, as was their energy. (I hasten to add though, I'm not suggesting that there is anything wrong with your energy, but maybe the Admin isn't as in tune as I was) On a positive note, you've awakened this forum to some degree. All the best, Danny If there was no alternate viewpoints now and then we wouldn't be able to be taken seriously anymore I tried using my LAST.FM name. (which rocks) And, I can't change it because I have one email address I'd have to make a new email address. That might be good because the other address could be public maybe I'll just do that I tried to register again |

Hey hoverround, how is the weather in Montreal? I live in Toronto and... ohh boy, it is HOT. They said the hotest summer since 1955, with temperature almost up to 38 (humidex 48). It is better now, but you can imagine, who wants to stay inside with this heat?? I am very busy and the little free time I have, prefer to go out for a walk by the river.
I have the same problem... hard to find people with the same interests to interact with and my old friends seem so different now....or is it me??? I am not complaining though, I feel calm and happy like never before in my life.

Hi Danny. It is amazing that you can tune into a user's energy. And if I might... I'd like to ask you what do you sense about me?
Mostly out of curiosity. I think my energy is okay but some times I feel that some people get some negative vibes. There is something in the way they look at me, something like they try to read me. I can't really explain it.
And off course you don't have to answer. I realize that I intrude... -how rude of me- but I couldn't resist.
